La actriz adolescente Miley Cyrus confesó estar harta de ser Hannah Montana y aseguró que se "alegrará mucho" cuando se distancie del personaje que le dio fama y de los estudios Disney.
En una entrevista concedida para el próximo número de la revista Parade, que saldrá a la venta el domingo, Cyrus afirmó estar deseando poner fin a su etapa en la serie "Hannah Montana", que tras cinco años la ha convertido en una estrella internacional y cuya última temporada se emitirá en 2011.
"De lo que estoy segura es de que voy a alegrarme mucho y seré muy feliz porque finalmente no tendré que ser... bueno, alguien que no soy exactamente", explicó la actriz de 17 años.
Cyrus logró el papel en ese programa de televisión con 12 años y recuerda aquellos momentos como algo especial para ella.
"Pensaba: '¡quiero ser famosa todo el tiempo!, ¡quiero que la gente me reconozca!", declaró la joven, ahora desencantada con su vida actual.
La adolescente comentó que "aprieta los dientes" cada vez que tiene que vestirse con los "brillos" y la ropa rosa de su alter ego, Hannah Montana.
"No puedo respirar cuando tengo ese aspecto. Un amigo vino a verme al estudio un día y dijo: 'No pareces muy feliz'; y le contesté: 'Me siento claustrofóbica con todos esos adornos'", declaró.
Cyrus confía en que distanciarse de Disney la ayude en el futuro a cambiar la percepción que se tiene sobre ella.
"Odio que se piense que soy un producto. No soy una muñeca y la gente me quiere tratar de esa manera. Soy mayor ahora. Tengo mi propia opinión, mis propios gustos", afirmó.
La actriz, enamorada del intérprete australiano Liam Hemsworth, confesó que surgió la relación cuando rodaba su próxima película "The Last Song" el pasado verano, a pesar de que ella estaba "muy centrada" en su carrera.
"The Last Song", producida por Disney, llegará a los cines de EE.UU. el 31 de marzo.
